MILFORD, NH, June 15, 2005 — Citadel Computer Corporation today introduced Intel Pentium-M® versions of its popular Vista-XL™ family of rugged industrial wireless touch screen computers. Intel's Pentium-M architecture provides next-generation performance specifically tailored for low-power mobile and embedded applications.
Citadel's new Pentium-M CPU option extends the processor configurations available across the entire Vista-XL™ product series including Citadel's Vista-10XL™, Vista-12XL™ and Vista-15XL™ systems. This enhancement offers additional processing horsepower in support of real-time data and graphics-intensive applications that range from well-site data logging in the petroleum industry to real-time process control tasks in heavy manufacturing.
All Vista-XL™ touch screen computers are engineered to deliver reliable performance despite challenging extremes of physical shock, vibration and temperature. Options include fully-sealed configurations rated to NEMA-4X / IP-66 with internal display and CPU heaters for use in sub-zero "in-freezer" or "cold-soak" installations in extreme, weather-exposed environments.
